Chapala, Mexico

This is where the conference is held. JUCUM is YWAM in English. This base is in Guadalajara, Mexico.
This is inside the base. It is up in the mountains and is absolutely beautiful!

This is a fisherman in the city of Chapala, a town 15 minuets from Guadalajara. He and his
friends fish with a net. Enjoy the sequence!

Nora Elizabeth - The Joy of Our Family

Nora Elizabeth, my beautiful 9 month old niece. She is always laughing, crawling around, getting into cords, and bringing my family joy. My sister made an emergency trip to Chicago from Texas, so I got to see both of their beautiful faces! I figured I had to quick snap some photos of this baby before I brought them back to the airport. So there we were on Tuesday, in the middle of Demote, IN on the side of a country road with the flashers on, snapping away as the sun set. Michelle, I hope these bring you joy during this difficult time and Jake I hope these make you smile as you serve our country so bravely!

Lexi - Natural Portraiture

My goal in the series was to capture natural moments within a posed session. I love the beauty of Lexi's natural face, her striking eyes and the brow that adds to the drama. Although you may not be able to tell, we laughed so much during this shoot, she was such a joy to work with and I am so excited to share these images with you! Thanks for stopping by :)

This is for all my friends, and lexi's mom to put on her fridge, who love smiles and color :)

A Sweet Sweet Bride and Groom

I had the privilege of second shooting with Michelle Hamstra last month. This bride was so incredibly sweet and relaxed, even though it was frigidly cold. It was a great experience to be able to work with Michelle, who is so talented and allows me to gain experience by working alongside her. These were some of my favorite images that I captured that day!

Writers Block is not a Very Splendid Thing

Writers block is not a very splendid thing, this I have been experiencing and more. I've had about a two-to-three week media-in-its-entirety block. I do have a lot on my mind, but that is normal for me, so I figured rather than tossing and turning to fall asleep I would overcome this mental block and write.

Some random thoughts and updates about mi vida (my life)...

  • I am truly grateful, I got a job, not just any job, but my dream job. Who gets that right out of college?!?
  • My latest music obsession is Hillsong United's Spanish album titled Con Todo, I can barely sing along without crying
  • I really love Greg. Not only is he the best model to photograph, but he really cares and is selfless in his love, he is my gift from God
  • This is random, but getting a dog is something that Greg and I talk about occasionally. It is funny how to me it is such a normal thing and for him its not. In my family, a house is not a home without a dog; they are the one thing that will always need you and happily greet you, its great! One day, maybe in a couple of years we will get one, oh that would be the best gift ever! I can just see it now, I walk into the house and there he is, a little puppy beagle with a big bow on its head.
  • I graduate in 36 days!
Sometimes I let Greg get creative with my camera and
I'm glad because this is the only picture I have of myself from Florida :)

Oh, and I am currently working on a few photography projects and I can't wait to share them with you!
